Using the map

The map is free to use. You may use what you make with it — images, saved files — for anything, including commercially. We claim no rights over your maps.

The data is not ours

The underlying layers come from third parties under their own licences, listed on the data sources page. Several require attribution. If you publish something made here, credit the sources of the layers you used.

No warranty

This is provided as it is. The data may be wrong, out of date, or too coarse for what you want. Borders shown are drawn from public datasets and are not a statement about any territorial dispute. Do not use this for navigation, engineering, legal, or safety decisions.

What you may not do

• Attack the site or work around limits on it
• Re-publish the bulk data files as if they were yours
• Once the board opens: post unlawful material, others' private information, or anything you do not have the right to share

The board

Not built yet. When it opens, this section will set out posting rules, how to report a post, and how removal works — before the first post is written, not after.

Changes and ending

These terms may change; the date above will change with them. We may stop running the site. If we do, we will say so on the front page with enough notice for you to save your work.
